01 Pre-season
Start Here: Before the First Cold Day
Most no-heat calls expressCOD takes in October and November are not caused by the cold. They are caused by a system that sat unused since April and was never checked. The single highest-return hour you can spend before the season starts is a tune-up and a look at your tank level.

02 Your tank
Knowing When to Order
A tank gauge is not a fuel gauge in a car. It reads high for a long time and then drops quickly, and the usable capacity of a tank is smaller than the number printed on it. A standard 275-gallon tank holds roughly 256 usable gallons. Order at a quarter tank, not at an eighth.

If you are out of oil and have no heat
Call (855) 426-3645 now for emergency delivery. Keep doors and windows closed to hold the heat you have, turn the thermostat off so the burner stops trying to restart, and do not run the burner until a technician has confirmed the system is safe. A tank that ran completely dry pulls air into the fuel line, so the burner will need a prime before it will restart.
03 When it goes wrong
Winter Storms and Running Out
Demand spikes hardest during and immediately after a storm, which is the worst time to discover the tank is low. Ordering before a forecast cold stretch is the difference between a routine delivery and an emergency call.

Order Heating Oil
expressCOD is cash on delivery. There is no contract, no annual service plan, and no fuel surcharge. You order when you need oil, the price is locked the moment you order, and you pay for the gallons that actually go into the tank. The minimum order is 50 gallons and the per-gallon price drops as the order gets larger.
